SLOWLY THROUGH THE WINTER

Peace. Between snow and peaks.

Away from the ski slopes, a particularly tranquil winter world unfolds around Zell am See-Kaprun. Over 107 kilometres of cross-country ski trails lead through snow-covered valleys, along the Zell lake, and through vast winter landscapes. The region offers both classic cross-country trails and skating routes – perfect for beginners and sporty, ambitious cross-country skiers. An intense experience in a decelerated rhythm arises between nature, movement, and clear mountain air.

107 kilometres of cross-country skiing trails far away from everyday life

Over 100 kilometres of varied cross-country ski trails, from flat beginner trails by the lake to panoramic routes throughout the Zell am See-Kaprun valley area, are waiting to be tested by you.

WHEN SNOW CRUNCHES UNDER THE SKIS, EACH STEP BECOMES A CONSCIOUS MOMENT.

Cross-country skiing in the valley and on the lake

The cross-country ski network of the region connects Zell am See, Kaprun, Bruck, Maishofen and other places. The flat tracks on the southern shore of Lake Zell and routes in the open valley, which offer ideal conditions for relaxed runners, are particularly popular. The combination of lake, mountains and vast landscape makes cross-country skiing here particularly varied.

Skating, classic and night trails

Whether classical style or skating - the trails are excellently groomed for both techniques. Some tracks even offer illuminated night trails, allowing for athletic rounds even in the evening hours. Beginners benefit from flat circuits, while experienced cross-country skiers can also find longer and more demanding tracks in the region.

Winter hiking and ski touring

In addition to the trails, cleared winter hiking trails lead through the snowy landscape, offering gentle access to the region. Guided ski tours also provide the opportunity to immerse yourself in the alpine winter world away from the well-known paths – quiet, intense, and in harmony with nature.
